Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an indium hydroxide powder by an electrolytic process.

The method for producing an indium hydroxide powder by electrolysis includes arranging cathode plates and anode plates made of indium metal serving as a raw material alternately at an interval in an electrolytic cell, then supplying an electrolytic solution between each cathode plate and each anode cathode, and performing electrolysis. The method is characterized in that electrolysis is stopped at the stage when the weight of the anode plate becomes 20 to 80% of the initial weight of the anode plate and the used anode is taken out; the used anode plate is dissolved and at the same time, indium metal is replenished, and an anode plate is remanufacured by casting; and electrolysis is started by using the remanufacured anode plate to deposit indium hydroxide particles in the electrolytic solution.
