Abstract:

To achieve high speed continuous production of a microporous polyolefin film by suppressing nonuniformization of a film due to nonuniform drying of an extraction solvent and achieving high speed drying, in a method for producing the microporous polyolefin film.

In a method for producing a microporous polyolefin film by forming a composition comprising a polyolefin resin and a plasticizer into a film by extrusion molding, drawing the film, removing the plasticizer by extraction with a solvent, and drying the resulting film, after the plasticizer extraction and before the drying, the film is brought into close contact with a roll or the width of the film is mechanically restricted, and while maintaining the close contact with the roll or the restriction of the width, a liquid (heat medium) at a temperature not less than the boiling point of the solvent is brought into contact with the film to dry the film by heating.
