Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to efficiently produce an olefin polymer of a high molecular weight even under a high temperature condition advantageous in industrial production.SOLUTION: A method of producing an olefin polymer is characterized by the polymerization of 2-20C α-olefin under a polymerization temperature condition of 40-200°C in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising a crosslinked metallocene compound represented by the formula [1], where Ris a tertiary hydrocarbon group; R-Rare H, a hydrocarbon group or the like; M is a fourth group transition metal; Q is a halogen atom or the like; j is an integer of 1-4; and Z is a fluorene derivative having a specific structure.
