Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce paper having suppressed generation of vessel pick from a paper web having unbalanced water-squeezing balance at the front and back sides by improving the paper layer strength of the side having insufficient squeezing degree in a drying step.
SOLUTION: A canvas 3 is applied to the paper web W at the side having insufficient squeezing of water, the paper web W is restrained by pressing against a roll 2 with the canvas 3 and a drying medium is blasted to the insufficiently squeezed side of the paper web W while applying a tension larger than the normal tension to the canvas 3 to dry the paper web W.
