To provide a method for producing a plastic lens which is colored with a pigment by an ink-jet method.
A plastic lens manufacturing method is provided, including a film sticking process for sticking a composition for forming films 32-34 which are demolded integrally with a lens substrate 35 on the side of the molding surface 51 of a mold 50 for molding the lens, a coloring process for sticking the pigment 40 by an ink-jet method after or during the film sticking process, a polymerization process in which the mold 50 is joined, and a composition forming the lens substrate 35 is injected and heat-cured, and a process for demolding the lens from the mold 50. Since the pigment 40 can be applied in the mold, a plastic lens colored with a commercial pigment ink can be produced.
