Abstract:

To provide a industrially profitable method for producing a polyether polyol improved in coloring without reducing producibility when the polyether polyol is obtained by performing a ring-opening polymerization reaction of a mixture of tetrahydrofuran and another cyclic ether copolymerizable with it in the presence of a catalyst.

In the method for producing the polyether polyol, a concentration of 1-5C ketones contained in another cyclic ether copolymerizable with the tetrahydrofuran is 500 wt.ppm or less.
