To provide a method for producing a high-MFR polypropylene-based block copolymer having excellent product quality in high productivity.
The method for producing the polypropylene-based block copolymer of the polymer components(a) and (b) mentioned below in the mass ratio of (10:90) to (84:16) by such a vapor-phase polymerization process as to remove heat of reaction mainly by the heat of vaporization of liquefied propylene is provided, wherein a solid catalytic component(A) obtained by mutual contact treatment of (A1) a solid component essentially containing titanium, magnesium and a halogen, (A2) a vinylsilane compound and (A3) an alkoxy-bearing organosilicon compound and/or a compound having at least two ether linkages is used. The polymer component(a) is 5 mass% or less in comonomer unit content and 50 g/10min or greater in MFR determined at 230°C and 21.18 N, and the polymer component(b) is 20-80 mass% in propylene unit content.
