To provide a method for producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet by which vaporization of a monomer can be reduce without using a cooling device for cooling a photopolymerizable composition layer under photopolymerization, defects of photopolymerization caused by adhesion of the monomer to a light transmitting window in a light irradiating part can be prevented and a releasing treatment of a light transmitting film can be disused.
The photopolymerizable composition layer 4 is formed by including an organic solvent having lower boiling point than the substance forming the layer 4 in a prescribed amount and the method comprises a step of supplying an inert gas to a space between the light transmitting film 7 and the composition layer 4 while moving the film 7 disposed between the composition layer 4 and the light irradiating part 21 without bringing the film 7 into contact with the composition layer 4 and irradiating the composition layer 4 with a light transmitting the film 7 in the method for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising photopolymerizing the composition layer 4 on a support 1 by the light irradiation to obtain the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
