Abstract:
To solve the problem that the amount of propylene oxide produced by the conventional production method is not necessarily fully satisfactory.
The method for producing propylene oxide includes a step of reacting propylene with oxygen in the presence of a silver catalyst including (a) metallic silver, a silver compound or a mixture thereof, (b) phosphorus, a phosphorus-containing compound or a mixture thereof, and (c) a carrier, and water.
