Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems inherent to conventional method for the production of a silacyclopentadiene derivative comprising the use of complicate process and apparatus for the introduction of reactive groups at 2,5-sites of silacyclopentadiene ring owing to the use of a reducing agent having high reactivity with oxygen and water in air and the formation of a large amount of impurities originating from the reducing agent. SOLUTION: A silacyclopentadiene derivative of formula (2) (Y<1> and Y<2> are each an alkyl; R<1> and R<2> are each an aryl; A is an aryl, a heterocyclic group, B(OH)2 or a group of formula (4); R<3> is an alkyl or an aryl; M is a metal atom; and (n) is a number obtained by subtracting 1 from the valence of M) is produced from a dianion compound of formula (1) produced by the electrolytic reduction of an acetylene derivative of formula (3).
