Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered ore production method that can properly pre-reduce sintered ores without deteriorating the operation of a sintering machine and can produce high-quality pre-reduced sintered ore with high productivity.SOLUTION: High-temperature sintered ores discharged from a sintering machine are charged into a reaction vessel A, and a hydrocarbon and carbon dioxide are blown into the reaction vessel A to produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide by a carbon dioxide reforming reaction of the hydrocarbon. While cooling the sintered ores by the carbon dioxide reforming reaction of the hydrocarbon, the sintered ores are pre-reduced using the produced hydrogen and carbon monoxide as reducing gases. Since the sintered ores are pre-reduced not in the sintering step but in the cooling step, the sintered ores can be pre-reduced without deteriorating the operation of the sintering machine, and since the carbon dioxide reforming reaction of the hydrocarbon is an endothermic reaction, the high-temperature sintered ores can be efficiently cooled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
