Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SULFATE ESTER SALT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2720289
Kind Code:
B2

CONSTITUTION: When a sulfamic acid and a compound to be sulfated (alcohols, nonionic surfactant having alcoholic OH group, etc.) subjected to a sulfation reaction, phosphinic acid and/or a salt thereof are added to the reaction system to obtain a sulfate ester improved in color tone. The phosphinic acid and/or the salt thereof are preferably added in a total amount of 0.01-0.5wt.% based on the compound to be sulfated. The phosphinic acid salt (hypophosphite salt) includes the potassium salt, calcium salt, sodium salt, ammonium salt, etc., of the phosphinic acid.
