Abstract:
To safely synthesize a triarylamine in high activity and selectivity from an aryl bromide as a raw material, through suppressing the by-production of bisaryl derivatives or dehalogenated arene derivatives as impurities.
A method for producing the triarylamine is provided, comprising carrying out a reaction between a monoarylamine and an aryl halide in the presence of a base using a catalyst comprising an arylphosphine of the general formula [1] [wherein, R1 to R9 are each H or the like; and Ar1 to Ar4 are each a (substituted) aryl group or the like] and a palladium compound.
