Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vinyl-cis-polybutadiene rubber further improved in extrusion workability, tensile stress and fatigue resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing vinyl-cis-polybutadiene rubber containing a syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene component having a melting point of 200.9°C or more, wherein the vinyl content is 75% or more, the ratio between the vinyl content and the cis content is 3 or more and 20 or less, and the method comprises: a first step of subjecting 1,3-butadiene to cis-1,4 polymerization by preparing a mixed solution obtained by dissolving 1,2-polybutadiene having a melting point of 111.5°C or less in an inert organic solvent composed mainly of 1,3-butadiene and a hydrocarbon and adding a catalyst composed of water, an organic aluminum compound and a soluble cobalt compound to the mixed solution; and a second step of subjecting the 1,3-butadiene in the polymerization reaction mixture obtained in the first step to syndiotactic-1,2 polymerization at a temperature of 45°C or less.
