Abstract:
To provide a method for protecting the patinated surface of a copper product, the method preventing the generation of verdigris dust when a copper product having verdigris is conveyed and packed, and, at the same time, guaranteeing continuous efflorescence not to be stopped.
A polymer-dispersed aqueous material is applied to the patinated surface to make the polymer-dispersed material permeate into an area in the vicinity of the surface of porous verdigris, and then the polymer-dispersed aqueous material is dried. At that time, the polymer-dispersed material forms a vapor-dispersible-and-permeable complex, together with the verdigris.
