To provide a method of quality-testing brushes, an inspection device, and a brush making machine, which promote economic production of brushes.SOLUTION: A method of quality-testing brushes (2) using a trained, preferably AI-based classifier (4) in particular is provided. After corresponding training using a training data set representing images of defective brushes, the classifier (4) classifies brushes (2) under inspection as defective brushes based on images of the brushes (2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
