To provide a method for recovering a titanium compound in higher yield from a waste solution containing the titanium compound generated when a polymer producing catalytic component such as an olefin polymerizing solid titanium catalytic component with titanium, magnesium and halogen as the essential components or a polymer producing catalyst is prepared.
The titanium compound is recovered by heating and kneading a waste solution containing the titanium compound generated when a polymer producing catalyst or a polymer producing catalytic component is prepared or a liquid still residue after the waste solution is distilled in a kneader having a heating means to vaporize and recover the titanium compound in the waste solution or liquid still residue.
