Abstract:
To provide a method that can efficiently recover valuable metal while maintaining a good work environment when disposing of a waste battery.SOLUTION: A method for recovering valuable metal from waste battery has a calcining step S1 for calcining a waste battery, a crushing step S2 for crushing a calcined product, and a sieving and separating step S3 for sieving and separating a crushed product with a screen into un-sieved matter and sieved matter. In the sieving and separating step S3, exhaust is performed from the underside of the screen. In the sieving and separating step S3, preferably, exhaust is performed from the top side of the screen as well as the underside of the screen, wherein, the exhaust is controlled so that the amount of exhaust from the underside of the screen is greater than the amount of exhaust from the top side of the screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
