To provide a method for chemically recycling organic wastes by which almost all of food wastes discharged out of kitchens of restaurants and food processing plants can be effectively treated to decease the volume without discharging any substance possible to cause environmental deterioration such as air pollution, water pollution and the residues left by the treatment are made reusable for various resources.
The method for recycling organic wastes using a hydroxide is carried out by pulverizing or grinding organic wastes, then mixing the wastes with a hydroxide capable of dissolving organic matter to dissolve the wastes and decrease the volume and obtain a gel mixture X, gravitationally separating the gel mixture X into a D layer of mainly fat components, an A layer of hydroxides, a B layer of mainly protein, and a C layer of hydrocarbons in the specific gravity order, taking the respective separated substances out of the respective separated layers, subjecting the separated respective substances to a secondary processing depending on the applications of the taken-out substances to recover various kinds of resources and use them as raw materials.
