To provide a method of refining a jatropha oil capable of shortening a time for removing an oil cake contained in the jatropha oil from the jatropha oil, and capable of removing also phosphorus together with the oil cake.
The method of refining the jatropha oil includes the first process for pressing a seed of jatropha, to obtain the jatropha oil, the second process for heating the jatropha oil, the third process for stirring the heated jatropha oil together with water, the fourth process for making the stirred jatropha oil and the water stand to separate an oil layer from a water layer, and the fifth process for removing the oil cake generated by the press of the seeds, and contained in the water layer, and the phosphorus, together with the water.
