Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING COATING FILM FROM CAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1148148
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a coating film from a can certainly and easily, then to prevent impurities from getting in, by burning the can and compressing from the radius directions, then deforming it into a nearly platy shape, and by shooting grainy dry ice or ice of a particular size at it from a nozzle through compressed air. SOLUTION: A can is burned at a temperature 250-350 deg.C at which a coating film is carbonized, and is compressed from the radius directions and deformed into a platy shape. While the cans are stirred within a stirrer bath, grainy dry ice or ice of a 0.3-3.0 mm size is shot at it from a nozzle through compressed air of a 0.2-0.6 MPa pressure, then they are treated. In the case of burning the can, the coating film is crushed and exfoliates from the can when the grainy dry ice or ice breaks against it. As the can is deformed into a platy shape, it does not occur that the grainy dry ice or ice infiltrates into it and remains in it. If the size of the dry ice or ice is 0. 3 mm and below, the impact strength of it is weak, and if it is 3.0 mm and above, it is not accelerated sufficiently by the compressed air. The coating film can be efficiently, certainly and easily removed from the can in a relatively short period of time, further impurities do not get mixed.
