Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of renewing a frame of a belt conveyor, by which a line stop time and a total construction time can be reduced while construction safety is ensured.SOLUTION: The method of renewing a frame 14 of a belt conveyor 10 is provided in which: tension acting on a conveyor belt 11 is released by releasing tensioning force of a gravity tension device 19; a carrier roller 26 which supports the upper belt 12 is removed upward by gripping and lifting an upper belt 12 upward; then a portion or all of a frame 14a disposed between posts 16, 17 is removed by gripping and lifting a lower belt 13 upward and a new frame 15 is installed; the lower belt 13 is arranged on a return roller 31 installed in the new frame 15; then a carrier roller 27 is mounted on the new frame 15; the upper belt 12 is disposed above the carrier roller 27; and the tension is imparted to the belt conveyor 11 by introducing the tensioning force to the gravity tension device 19.
