To provide a method for replacing elevator floor side entrance items capable of saving labor and time while assuring safety of users.

The method comprises a 1st process wherein the floor where to perform replacement work is designated and a working platform 1 is arranged on the side of an elevator shaft 2; 2nd process wherein stretchable bars 9a-9c are attached to the opposite side walls in a jamb 8; 3rd process wherein a landing door 5 is cured by use of a curing sheet 10 attached to bars 9a, 9c; 4th process wherein a safety fence 11 is arranged on the landing floor side of the sheet 10; 5th process wherein old elevator floor entrance items 5, 6, 7 are removed with the jamb 8 retained; 6th process wherein new items 5, 6, 7 are installed and then checked and adjusted; and a 7th process wherein the fence 11, the sheet 10, and the bars 9a-9c are removed.
