PURPOSE: To more exactly replenish a replenisher by determining the pump operating time during the replenishment of the processing replenisher at the difference between the theoretical operating time of the pump required for feeding a required amt. of the processing replenisher and the excess operating time by the moment of inertia at the stop of the pump.
CONSTITUTION: The output of a blackening area measuring instrument 7 is arithmetically processed after integration in an arithmetic part 8 and the theoretical operating time Tt of the pump corresponding to the blackening area of the photosensitive material is calculated. The actual pump operating time T from which the preliminarily inputted excess operating time Te of the pump is subtracted is determined. A replenishing pump 10 is energized for the time T when the T is determined. The development replenisher in a developing replenisher tank 9 is then fed through a piping 11 into a developing tank 3. Therefore, the amt. of the replenisher to be supplied exactly coincides with the theoretical replenishing amt. if the excess operating time of the pump is preliminarily corrected. The excess replenishment occurring in the excess operation of the liquid feed pump is thereby prevented and the extremely exact replenishment is made executable. The developing process is thus stabilized.
