Abstract:
To roll a hot slab after edging without increasing the total number of rolling passes.
This is a method for rolling the hot slab with hot rolling equipment which is provided with an edging device 2 for edging the hot slab between a heating furnace 1 and a reversing roughing mill 4 and, after edging the hot slab in a state that feeds it toward the side of the reversing roughing mill 4 from the side of the heating furnace 1, a rough rolling is executed from the terminal part of edging of this slab. And, after reversing the direction of the hot slab, the rough rolling is executed.
