Title:
METHOD FOR SENSITIZING SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10133319
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To sensitize the silver halide photographic emulsion by adding a specified metal and a specified noble metal and a sulfur sensitizer of the silver halide photographic emulsion.

The silver halide emulsion has at least one kind of metal and at least one kind of noble metal selected from groups II and VIII and IIB of the periodic table, and further, a sulfur sensitizer added to the emulsion. The useful noble metal compound can be embodied by a gold derivative, such as potassium chloroaurate, a silver derivative, such as silver chloride, a platinum derivative, such as platinum chloride, and a palladium derivative, such as potassium hexachloropalladate, and a suitable sulfur sensitizer can be embodied by thiosulfate, such as ammonium thiosulfate, thiourea, such as allylthiocarbamidourea, and isothiocyanate, such as allylthioisocyanate, and the like.
