Title:
METHOD FOR SEPARATING MATERIALS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0330846
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate easily and effectively only a subject material having an electrical conductivity by controlling an electromagnetic flux field generated when materials are passed closely through an electromagnetic field generating apparatus so that an electric current is allowed to generate within a prediscribed electrically conductive material which reacts with the said electromagnetic flux, thus allowing a force to a specific direction to act on it.

CONSTITUTION: When the die of a die-cast machine (1) is opened after a molding process is completed, a molded metal product, scrap metal and materials overflowed from a sprue and a feeder are discharged on a vibrating conveyor (2) together with burs while they are still hot and are conveyed in the direction to a small induction-type linear motor (3). The said motor is in a condition where an appropriate inducing effect is generated by appropriately constituting its coil and allows an appropriate force to act on the molded metal product by generating an electric current in it and removes it to a predetermined side of the motor (3) where it is collected in a receiver (4). The scrap metal, etc., above the motor (3), on the otherhand, do not cause the same effect because of their different dimensions and mass. After the molded metal product is removed, the scrap metal, etc., still remaining on the vibrating conveyor (2) are slid down into a container (5).
