PURPOSE: To provide a method, in which particles of a bulk material moving on an auxiliary equipment are sorted out according to a signal of a sensor, permitting a sort more precisely by transporting the particles in a predetermined position and direction and then the passing movement at the position is conducted in the predetermined ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus has a presorting device mounted with a video camera 1 which is disposed above the particle stream of the bulk material being transported on auxiliary equipment 2. A sorting device 3 is mounted on the ends of the auxiliary equipment 2, where the particles recognized as good are transported to a guide 5 by means of a larger stream 4, while the other particles are branched and discharged on a conveyor 38 by way of a hopper 6. A video camera 101 is mounted over the conveyor 38 and air nozzle 45, 46 are controlled by an actuation circuit 42 according to the output, so that the bulk material is thrown into storage containers 47, 48. On the occasion of the control, the bulk material is transported in the predetermined position and direction and is controlled to make the passing movement at the position conducting within a predetermined ratio.
