Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably treat steel making slag such as converter slag, preliminary treatment slag or secondary refining slag produced in a steel making plant.
SOLUTION: The subject method for the stabilization treatment of the steel making slag is characterized in that a gas containing carbon dioxide and having 75-100% relative humidity is allowed to flow in the steel making slag aged under the atmosphere, a pressurized atmosphere or a steam atmosphere after water is added to the slag in an amount adjusted to a range which is less than a value at which free water starts to be present and is not less than a value being smaller than this value by 10 mass%.
