Abstract:
To provide an ascorbate oxidase (ASO) having stability so as to withstand as a liquid reagent stable over a long period in relation to a method for stabilizing the ASO and a composition therefor.
The method for stabilizing the ASO comprises making a substance selected from 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and salts thereof coexist with the ASO. The stabilizing composition comprises the substance coexisting with the ASO.
