Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as a light stabilizer, etc. for organic coloring matter materials, polymeric materials, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I or II (R1 to R4 are H, halogen, cyano, acylamino, etc.; R5 is H, alkyl or aryl; respective groups of R1 to R5 are connected to form a condensed ring; A is ligand connecting through N, O or S; X is S or O; Y is alkylene, arylene or aralkylene; M is Ni, Cu, Pd or Pt), e.g. the compound of formula III. Furthermore, the compound of formula I is obtained by reacting salicylaldehyde with 2-aminoethanethiol and then adding and reacting an aqueous solution of nickel acetate tetrahydrate with the resultant compound of formula IV.
