PURPOSE: To produce a sheet having excellent quality by supplying a half-solidified metal to a continuous casting machine by means of an oscillating inclined plate, thereby supplying the half-solidified metal in the uniformly distributed state of a solid phase and a liquid phase at the time of supplying the slurry-like half-solidified alloy in which the solid phase and the liquid phase coexist to the continuous casting machine and producing the sheet.

CONSTITUTION: The slurry-like half-solidified alloy which is formed by stirring a molten alloy, etc., at the intermediate temp. of the liquid phase temp. and solid phase temp. thereof and in which the alloys of the solid phase state and the liquid phase state coexist is supplied to the continuous casting machine of a twin roll method, etc., by which the alloy is worked to a sheet shape. The inclined plate 2 is oscillated in its transverse direction by a cylinder 3 and oscillation in a perpendicular direction is applied to the inclined plate 2 by means of a spring 4 and an electromagnet 5 at the time of supplying the half-solidified metal 1 to the continuous casting device by dropping this metal onto the inclined plate 2, by which the slurry-like half-solidified alloy is supplied to the continuous casting machine in the form of the compsn. having the uniform solid phase and liquid phase on the inclined plate 2. The alloy sheet having the excellent quality is thus continuously produced.
