A method for supplying soil for raising seedling pots comprises: disposing a soil supply device 5 composed of a bucket conveyor 6 which lifts and conveys soil with a plurality of buckets 7 to the lateral position at a predetermined place of a transfer board 1 transferring a plurality of raising seedling pots P disposed on a tray T; dropping the soil lifted and conveyed by the bucket conveyor 6 on the raising seedling pots P in the course of transfer on the transfer board 1; making the raising seedling pots P in the course of transfer receive the soil dropped from the bucket conveyor 6; once accumulating a prescribed amount of soil equal to or more than a necessary amount to be charged in each of the raising seedling pots P on each of the raising seedling pots P in layers; and charging a necessary amount of the soil received by the raising seedling pot P into each of the raising seedling pots P when removing extra soil from the raising seedling pot P.
