To provide a method for supplying thin workpieces, which method can surely take out thin workpieces held in a workpiece holding member in a laminated state one by one by means of a sucking member.
Sucking members 63 are brought by suction into contact with a top workpiece W' among a plurality of the thin workpieces W held in the horizontally laminated state by being hung from a holder 17. Then, the top workpiece W' is taken out from the holder 17 by withdrawing the sucking members 63 in the laminated direction of the workpieces, and the taken-out workpiece W' is carried to a required supply position. In this method for supplying thin workpieces, the holder 17 is moved downward relative to the sucking members 63 in the state that the sucking member 63 is brought by suction into contact with the top workpiece W' held by the holder 17. After that, the top workpiece W' is separated from the next workpiece W and is taken out from the holder 17 by withdrawing the sucking member 63 in the laminated direction of the workpieces.
