To achieve a method capable of suppressing coloring of pixels near an achromatic color, and an image processing device.

The method of suppressing coloring of pixels near the achromatic color includes: a first step of deciding chroma saturation of each pixel from inputted image data; and a second step of correcting the color of the pixel having a chroma saturation of a chroma threshold or less towards an achromatic color.
