To obtain a method of surface treatment for a nonwoven fabric, with which in formation of a coating film as an adhesive between a nonwoven fabric and rubber, adhesiveness between the nonwoven fabric and the coating film is excellently improved and a method for rubber-based composite material production with which a rubber-based composite material having excellent durability useful as a reinforcing material for a rubber article such as tire, belt, etc., can be obtained.
In this method of surface treatment for a nonwoven fabric with which a nonwoven fabric is subjected to surface treatment by a low- pressure plasma process, the nonwoven fabric is subjected to plasma treatment under gas pressure in a range of 1×10-2 Pa-2×101 Pa or 2×102 Pa-5×103 Pa.
