Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for correcting an inclination of headlights of a motor vehicle on the basis of measurements of accelerations of the motor vehicle supplied by a sensor borne by the motor vehicle.SOLUTION: A sensor 1 installed in a motor vehicle 2 can be an accelerometer or a gyrometer. Measurements of accelerations supplied by the sensor 1 are measurements in the reference frame (aX, aY, aZ) of the motor vehicle 2. The sensor 1 can supply measurements of the accelerations according to at least two axes, notably horizontal and vertical axes. In this case, the variation of inclination I can be obtained based on the accelerations of the vehicle 2 measured on these two axes. θ corresponds to the inclination of a road relative to a horizon, and β corresponds to the inclination of the vehicle 2 on the road.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1b
