PURPOSE: To transfer a polymeric material efficiently from a chromatograph substrate to a fixed matrix by employing a cation charge modified microporous membrane, where the porous surface of a hydrophilic microporous membrane is modified with a cation charge modifier, as a fixed matrix.
CONSTITUTION: In the method for transferring a polymeric material from a chromatograph substrate to a fixed matrix, a cation charge modified microporous nylon membrane, where the porous surface of a hydrophilic microporous nylon membrane having pores over the entire membrane is modified with a cation charge modifier, is as the fixed matrix. Preferably, the cation charge modifier is a water soluble organic polymeric material having molecular weight of 1000 or above wherein each compositional monomer has at least one epoxy group to be bonded to the membrane surface, and at least one tertiary amine or quaternary ammonium group. The charge modifier may be an aliphatic amine or polyamine bonded with the membrane through a crosslinking agent composed of aliphatic polyepoxide having molecular weight of 500 or less.
