Abstract:

To provide a method for treating a discarded PET bottle comprising a label releasing step or a bottle cleaning step suitable for the discarded PET bottle which is recovered from a mixture-recovered plastic waste or particularly in the case in which the surface is contaminated or a label remains attached to the surface as it is.

The method for treating the discarded PET bottle comprises the steps of collecting a bag in which the plastic waste containing the discarded PET bottle is sealed, destroying the bag to separate the solid plastic, sorting the bottle-like plastic, releasing the label attached to the bottle-like plastic, and further sorting the PET bottle. The method further comprises a step of cleaning the bottle-like plastic from which the label is released.
