To provide a method of recovering lead and/or zinc from lead and/or zinc-containing gas or flying ash without generating waste water.
A suspension containing an insoluble lead and/or zinc compound is obtained from a lead and/or zinc-containing treatment liquid obtained by subjecting lead and/or zinc-containing gas or flying ash to washing treatment. The suspension is subjected to solid-liquid separation. The obtained solid component is next subjected to a stage so as to be washed with water and thereafter to be subjected to solid-liquid separation for at least one time. The obtained solid component in which the concentration of chlorine is reduced is discharged as the raw material for mine return for recovering lead and/or zinc. Further, the separation liquid obtained by the solid-liquid separation is subjected to calcium removal treatment and chlorine removal treatment. The obtained water is circularly used as washing water for the solid component in the above stage where the solid component is washed with water, and is subjected to solid-liquid separation.
