Abstract:
To efficiently take out a gas generator from the pad module of an air bag apparatus without disassembling the pad module.
In this treatment of the pad module of an air bag apparatus, the pad module detached from a vehicle is heated in an atmoshopere of which the temp. is lower than the m.p. of an aluminum alloy but higher than a higher ignition temp. among the respective ignition temps. of a plastic contained in the pad module and a gas generating agent and the plastic and the gas generating agent in a gas generator are burnt and the gas generator is taken out of the above mentioned temp. atmosphere.
