To change steelmaking dust as an industrial waste material into resource recovery without charging new resource by mixing carbonization composition of a shredder dust into the steelmaking dust, applying the heat treatment to the mixture, melting and separating secondary dust mainly composed of zinc or zinc oxide and slag.
The shredder dust carbonization composition is obtd. by executing the thermo-decomposition carbonization to the shredder dust composed of crushed waste of synthetic resin, urethane, fiber kind, etc. under low oxygen atmosphere. The mixing ratio of the steelmaking dust and the shredder dust carbonized composition powder is desirable to be in the range from 8:2 to 2:8. As the heat treatment method, the treatment is desirable to execute at 1,300-1,500°C with a burner type outer heat-melting method using gas or petroleum base fuel or an outer heat type heating method of an electric heater heating, etc., using a kanthal wire, siliconit, etc. as the heating material.
