To provide a method for synthesizing a fluorinated compound using a carbamoyl fluoride as a fluorinating source.
The method for using a carbamoyl fluoride as fluorinating agent is disclosed. The method comprises treating a derivative bearing a halogen-containing carbon with a carbamoyl fluoride at a temperature not lower than 70C while maintaining the ratio of the sum of hydrofluoric acid (HF) and the carbamoyl fluoride to the sum of exchangeable halogen atoms, isocyanate functions and the carbamoyl fluoride [(HF+carbamoyl fluoride)/(exchangeable halogen+isocyanate+carbamoyl fluoride)] at a value not greater than 1.2, and then carrying out a catalysis process with tin, antimony and/or titanium salt. The method is applicable to synthesis of fluorinated derivatives.
