PURPOSE: To obtain a washing apparatus capable of surely washing vegetable for salted vegetables without unevenness and capable of surely removing dust or sands of stub roots of the vegetables.

CONSTITUTION: A washing apparatus of vegetables has a washing tank 1 in which rapid stream swirls by an aeration pipe 2 and a conveying means of vegetable for salted vegetables consisting of a conveying chain 6 arranged side by side along this washing tank 1 and a conveying belt 7 and the conveying chain 6 and the conveying belt 7 are driven in the same direction in opposed state and the conveying belt 7 is pressed toward opposed conveying chains 6 by press rotators 8, 8,... pressed by coil spring. By the constitution, salted vegetables are held every one stub between the conveying belt 7 and the conveying chain 6 and washed while moving the washing tank.
