Abstract:
To provide a bioprocessing system for cellular immunotherapies that reduces contamination risk.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method of bioprocessing that includes the steps of combining a suspension comprising a population of cells with magnetic beads to form a population of bead-bound cells in the suspension, isolating the population of bead-bound cells on a magnetic isolation column, and collecting target cells from the population of cells. Collecting the target cells includes removing bead-bound cells from the isolation column with an air plug. Also disclosed is a system including a magnetic field generator, a magnetic cell isolation holder, a disposable fluidic kit and related methods of their use.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 78
