Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the use of a toner bottle other than a normal one, to stir toner and to detect the insufficiency of the toner in the toner bottle in real time.
SOLUTION: Whether or not the toner bottle 16 is the normal one is discriminated by detecting a rib 24 to be formed in specified length on the outer periphery of the toner bottle 16 by using a sensor 102. By consecutively normally and reversely rotating the bottle 16, the toner is stirred. At such a time, the bottle 16 is easily normally and reversely rotated by detecting the rib of the bottle 16 by using the sensor 102. Furthermore, whether or not the toner is nearly depleted is judged by detecting the rotating speed of the bottle 16 by using the sensor 102 based on a situation that the rotational load of the bottle 16 is changed in accordance with toner residual amount.
