Abstract:
To provide a method for assisting detection of arteriosclerosis, a method for stratification of the risk of arteriosclerosis, a method for monitoring the progression of arteriosclerosis, and a method for predicting the level of progression of arteriosclerosis using saliva that can be collected by the specimen itself without risk of pain, and the like.SOLUTION: The problem will be solved by a method for assisting detection of arteriosclerosis, including measuring the amount of metabolites present in a saliva sample collected from a subject, where, when the amount of metabolites present in the saliva sample is outside the reference range, it is indicative that the subject whose saliva was collected has arteriosclerosis.SELECTED DRAWING: None
