Abstract:
To improve shift feeling in a curve section during ACC traveling in a vehicle equipped with a stepped automatic transmission.SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle equipped with a stepped automatic transmission includes: an ACC function that allows a self vehicle to travel at a setting speed when a preceding vehicle is not present on a lane where the self vehicle is traveling and that issues an acceleration request/deceleration request such that the self vehicle can travel following the preceding vehicle while maintaining a setting inter-vehicle time when the preceding vehicle is present on a lane where the self vehicle is traveling; and a curve traveling assist function that issues a deceleration request when it is detected that the vehicle enters a curve having a predetermined curvature or larger and a curve traveling condition is satisfied. When the curve traveling condition is satisfied during traveling by the ACC function, an upper limit of gear shifting by the automatic transmission is limited to one stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
