Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that reduces costs of sensor-based tracking and enables sensor data to be shared in order to build a strong information web surrounding an item to be tracked.SOLUTION: A system and a method for providing sensor data can comprise receiving a request for sensor data, the request including a triggering parameter. Moreover, the system and the method for providing the sensor data may comprise searching for information identifying devices that meet the triggering parameter. Devices are selected from a plurality of item tracking devices, where the plurality of item tracking devices correspond to a plurality of items. Moreover, the system and the method for providing the sensor data can acquire the requested sensor data that corresponds to the devices that meet the triggering parameter, and return the requested sensor data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
