Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure both welding resistance and arc consumption resistance and reduce the contact resistance in a contact by forming one of a fixed contact member and a moving contact member separating from or coming in contact with the fixed contact member by mechanical displacement caused by snap action mechanism with a silver- metal oxide base alloy, and the other with silver-carbon sintered metal. SOLUTION: A fixed contact side terminal piece 7 integrally formed with a contact supporting part 11 having a fixed contact member 13, and a moving contact side terminal piece 9 electrically connected to a moving contact supporting plate 15 having a moving contact member 17 are mounted on a switch case 5. A V-shaped snap action spring 25 bridges the moving contact supporting plate 15 and a laterally turned V-shaped plate spring 23 for cantilever supporting the moving contact supporting plate 15 for engaging them. For example, in the case that the fixed contact member 13 is formed with a silver-metal oxide base alloy and the moving contact member 17 is formed with silver-carbon sintered metal, a mutual disadvantage is compensated, and rising of contact temperature is retarded. The silver-carbon sintered metal using carbon powder having a particle size of 1 μm or less is capable of plastic working, and direct caulked joint to the contact supporting plate 15 is made possible.
